Testimonials:
"One of the many reasons for approaching Anne to be my supervisor was that I knew that she had the ability to be caring, inspiring and motivational as well as a strong ability to hold me safely within clear boundaries; something I would like to think I can pass on to my own clients and supervisees” (JW qualified counsellor)
"I never felt Anne gave me anything but her full attention and she would listen intently to all of my client reviews without judgement. She did not, however, give me an easy ride! Anne would ask me insightful questions, make challenges, and encourage me to examine how I might do things differently. Yet all of this was done with warmth, compassion and gentle understanding. As the months progressed so too did my confidence and I was beginning to feel that I was becoming a 'proper' counsellor". (DS student)

About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced and accredited counsellor and a qualified supervisor and have been in private practice in Devon for 24 years. I initially qualified in counselling in 1994 and in supervision in 2007.
I began training in relationship counselling in 2012 and more recently undertook training in Imago relationship therapy which I find to be highly effective.
Since lockdown I have worked on Zoom and find that many clients now prefer to work in this way as it suits their lifestyle. I also see clients in person if this is what they choose and I always encourage couples to work with me in person.
It is important that clients feel comfortable with their counsellor and I therefore offer an initial meeting, without obligation. This gives clients the opportunity to decide whether I am the right counsellor for them.
