About me and my therapy practice

I work with clients who wish to examine and further understand their physical and emotional responses to what life throws at them. Life doesn’t always run smoothly (I’m not sure it’s designed to) so sometimes our anxieties and negative feelings come to the surface and can have a detrimental effect on us and how we experience life and the world.

Sometimes difficult feelings may be our response to a particular situation - say a bereavement, a stressful work situation, relationship difficulty or even when we have a tendency to compare ourselves to others.

Whether it’s a particular issue, or life more generally, I help clients explore how they’re feeling and discover which strategies might be suitable for them. We might talk about the specific situation and develop some techniques to help, we might look at some psycho-educational materials, do some breathing or relaxation exercises or work creatively to increase self-awareness and, in the process, encourage learning and growth.
