About me and my therapy practice
I have been working as a clinical supervisor for trainees in placements and qualified individuals and groups working in the helping professions since 2015. My experience has included working with counsellors, supervisors, NHS staff, school tutors, and people working in the helping professions in both my private practice and professional settings.
My integrative approach has evolved from my various trainings and originated from Existential and Psychodynamic and Person Centred theory.
The supervision style I adopt is supportive, working flexibly with each supervise according to their needs and stage of development, and I aim to offer a collaborative space with the focus on the development of your own style of practice as well as your professional and personal growth. Together we will ensure that you are working ethically and in the best interest of your clients.
I provide an environment that is safe to explore practice and develop your style of working, stimulating a dialogue by asking questions and encouraging self-awareness.
I am committed to working with the client at the core of the work and all the while adhering to the BACP Professional code.
My belief is that an effective supervision relationship can increase the competence, confidence and creativity with present and future clients.

About me and my therapy practice
I have been practicing since 2007, working as a counsellor in a variety of settings including within the NHS, counselling students and tutors in university and secondary school settings, and seeing a wide variety of clients in my private practice.
I work with individual adults, young people (age 11+), couples, and groups, and offer sessions either in person, online via zoom, Skype or FaceTime, or on the phone. My experience covers a broad spectrum of clients from teenage to late adulthood and I tailor how I work towards each person so they achieve the most out of therapy.
You are given the opportunity to talk about your life, thoughts and feelings in an open way that may not be possible with friends and family. By offering my insights and supporting you to reflect, you can learn more about yourself and understand the nature and origins of your problems and in turn make the changes that you want, when you are ready.
Together we will set a goal of therapy for us to work towards supporting you to achieve your full potential by resolving areas of conflict or distress that you have.
I offer a flexible and caring approach to each individual and their unique needs. My philosophy is to utilise the valuable contributions made by the various schools of counselling rather than be limited by one approach. This method helps you find your own answers, guiding you through challenging times, to help find new pathways, solutions and strategies where necessary enabling you to move forward .
As an Accredited member of the BACP I work within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a copy of which can be found on the BACP web site at http://www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework.

It gives you the opportunity to reach for a satisfying and fulfilling life by understanding yourself. The initial session helps establish whether to work for an agreed time period or an open ended basis.
