About me and my therapy practice
As a Supervisor I support counsellors to develop and integrate person centred and humanistic theory in practice. I gained my Diploma in Clinical Supervision at the CPPD in North London. The core of this training is the Seven Eyed Model and the Cyclical Model which was developed with an aim to equip supervisors to help their supervisees to experience work as "a place of purpose, achievement, self-worth, service, relationship, and creativity.
My philosophy of Supervision:
is to create an environment of support, mutual trust, respect, openness and empathy. Maintaining these nurturing principles creates a safe space for supervisees to reflect on development, heighten their understanding of themselves and increase insight.
As a supervisee I found I flourished both professionally and personally when offered an open, honest and supportive environment.
Although exploration of client work will play an important part of supervision work, I think it is equally important to place you, the supervisee and therapist, at the centre of the process.

About me and my therapy practice
Every so often we can come to a point in our lives when we feel confused or overwhelmed and our choices and options seem non-existent. This can bring on feelings of anxiety and stress an area that is my speciality.
Therapy can help us achieve a healthier understanding of our selves and consequently help us to make better or different choices in the future. Supervising other counsellors in private practice has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to my counselling career. By seeking therapy we can identify recurrent or stressful patterns of behaviour. it can also help us to accept who we are and liberate us from damaging and destructive thoughts. Therapy is a passage of elation, self knowledge and discovery, frequently taxing but constantly rewarding. As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor I believe we are all individuals and we can grow, heal and be enlightened in a way and pace we choose. I work integratively which means I have been trained in different models of therapy which I tailor to each individual client. I work in a non-judgemental engaging way building a warm therapeutic relationship allowing my clients to work at a speed which is best for them, that being a brief four session consultation (see my website) or open ended therapy.
