About me and my therapy practice
I offer supervision to individual qualified, newly qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists. I am particularly interested in supporting therapists who work with children and young people.
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Supervision of Individuals and Groups.
I welcome enquiries from therapists seeking supervision whether for the first time or for a change of supervisor.
I offer an initial 20 minute free telephone consultation to discuss working together before meeting for the first supervision session.
Practice description
I view supervision as a formal process that takes place within a collaborative relationship with the aim of enhancing the supervisee’s therapeutic competences and ensuring that their practice conforms to ethical and professional standards. My aim is to create an optimal reflective environment relevant to the stage of a therapist’s career. Given that I work creatively as a counsellor, I am happy to bring creative elements to my supervisory work.
Whilst my counselling modality is primarily Humanistic (Person-Centred, Gestalt and TA), over my many years of counselling practice, my theoretical interests have evolved and as such my approach has developed into a more pluralistic style and this is reflected in my integrative supervisory work.
My first session
Our first session together will be used to establish a mutually agreed supervision contract and to discuss what you would like to get out of supervision to meet the demands of your practice. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask me any questions about how I work.
