Since qualifying in 2008 as an Integrative Counsellor, I have worked extensively with children and young people as well as with adults and couples. My work has been within educational systems as well as within agency settings and private work. I have previously been the Manager of a Counselling team. Following my ADV DIP Integrative Counselling, I have gained a Dip supervision, DIP CBT and DIP counselling couples, I am also an EMDR Therapist.

As an Integrative Counsellor I draw on many different models and theories of Counselling, as I believe different approaches suit different clients. Since qualifying in 2008 I have become an EMDR therapist and have child level 1&2 EMDR, added a CBT Diploma, a Supervision Diploma and a Couples Diploma, along with extensive training in many other therapies and models such as Gestalt, Bereavement and Loss, DDP, Inner Child and trauma. I have worked extensively with children and young people as well as adults. I have gained a lot of experience in working with trauma , anxiety and depression as well as working with identity, abuse, relationship difficulties and  low self-esteem. Together we can explore anything that is currently hindering you from living the life you would like.

Concessionary rates for trainee counsellors 

I work from my home in Plympton. I have a room on the ground floor and offer sessions on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Sessions last for between 50 minutes up to an hour (can be 1.5 hrs for EMDR or couples) I can provide both face to face sessions as well as sessions on Zoom.

Whist entering therapy can be a daunting prospect. I aim to offer a warm welcoming room, which is both a comfortable and a safe therapeutic space, in which we can explore whatever it is that has brought you to therapy.

Our first session might include some brief history taking and completion of an evaluation form, so we can explore where you are at the moment, however this is of course your choice.
