About me and my therapy practice

I work collaboratively with my supervisees, meeting their needs as therapists and as people. Just like clients, supervisees are all different, and I work with each person to support individual growth and development as a professional therapist.

I offer a safe space to explore therapeutic work. I also invite the supervisee to bring herself/himself into supervision so that any personal and/or organisational issues impacting the therapeutic process might be explored. As an experienced academic tutoring L1-L5 with CPCAB, I believe in the power of life-long learning. Supervision offers a place for supervisees to engage in that learning and to grow in competence and confidence.

Practice description

I am an experienced supervisor, having supervised many trainee counsellors through their journey to qualification.

I bring all these skills and experiences into my supervisory work.

About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes life can feel a little out of control and unbalanced somehow when your well-being has reached the bottom of your priority pile again. Maybe this is how you are feeling right now. If you would like to be heard and find a space to explore what you are experiencing from the comfort of your home, using online or telephone counselling or Face-to-Face in my private practice in Cannock, I would love to help you.

I trained at Sherwood Institute in Nottingham and I also have QTS, a Diploma in supervision and am a tutor of L1-L5 CPCAB counselling courses.

I work as an integrative counsellor, which means that some of my work will be focused on the past. Some will include how our thoughts, emotions, behaviours and bodies are connected and specifically what you want to focus on.

I have a fully trained and insured Therapy Dog who is welcome into your sessions if you choose.

I am also fully committed to offering a welcoming, supportive and inclusive service.

Practice description

My background is in sexual abuse, domestic violence and trauma therapy, and I have experience in grief counselling and the difficulties that are experienced through mental health illness. In working with these difficulties, I have adjusted my practice to work with symptoms of depression, anxiety, guilt, shame, dissociation, PTSD and low mood and self-esteem. My training is as an Integrative Counsellor and combines elements of different approaches, such as Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt. By utilising the integrative method of therapy, I am able to take into account you as an individual and your circumstances and can tailor the therapeutic journey to meet your needs, as ‘one size does not fit all’.
