About me and my therapy practice
Having completed an Advanced Supervisor training.
Over 4 years experience of Managing a team of tutors for my training school in Colchester.
Experience of organising and facilitating peer supervision groups and CPD training groups.
Also, prior to becoming a qualified counsellor have worked within charities, Higher Education, Primary and Secondary Schools working with children and young people with special and education needs; NHS and Offender Health; Law Courts and Solicitors.
Whilst working within the NHS Offender Health i obtained Institute of Leadership Member (ILM) qualification.
Practice description
Supervision is like finding a comfortable pair of slippers where you are able to feel comfortable in discussing anything with your supervisor no matter how trivial or silly you feel the question or queries you have.
During supervision whether you are a student or a qualified counsellor/therapist Supervision is focused on your learning, development, growth, educational, client case load, Ethical Framework, Ethical dilemma, self-care and well-being.
My first session
During our first session we will discuss the Supervision Contract, the frequency you wish to have supervision.
The frequency would depend on your requirements and what your Membership requires you to do per month. e.g. a BACP Student Member who is on placement will require 1 hour per fortnight or a BACP Individual Qualified member will require 1.5 per calendar month.

About me and my therapy practice
My name is Katrina Fassnidge, and I am a Humanistic Psychodynamic Therapist, Reflective Practice Group Facilitator Supervisor, Trainer and Course Director.
Having initially trained as an Integrative Counsellor and then further developed my skills, knowledge and practice in qualifying as a Psychodynamic Therapist.
Offering a modern day approach to psychodynamic therapy, which is based on a Humanistic core model approach of being led by you where the attachment styles, patterns of behaviour, thoughts, feelings and emotions are explored.
Able to also offer Creative Therapy, whereby you will have the choice and be able to use a variety of other therapy media, such as artwork, puppets, sand tray, in order to enhance and enable your therapeutic journey.
If sitting in a therapy room is not for you I am trained in Walk N Talk Therapy where you can take your therapy into the outside environment be able to ground and reconnect yourself with nature.

Practice description
When you contact me either by e-mail or phone, we can book a suitable day and time for a 15 minute initial consultation (there is no charge for this initial consultation).
Following the telephone initial consultation you will have the opportunity to book a convenient day and time to commence your therapy sessions.
Prior to your first therapy session you will be issued with a Therapy Contract to read through. During our first session we will discuss this contract and providing you are in agreement we will both sign this.
Also, during the first session a full assessment will take place and part of this assessment will be exploring your reasons for coming to therapy now and what you wish to achieve from your therapy.

About me and my therapy practice
Having a City & Guilds Qualification in Training Adults in Further Education and have over 34 years experience in developing and delivering training programs.
For the past 8 years have experience of developing and delivering CPD bespoke training programmes for Qualified Counsellors: Data Protection/GDPR; Children & Young People BACP Competencies; Autism; Trauma Training and Creative Art; Supervision Training and BACP Accredited Course Program (Level 2, Level 3 & Level 4 Diploma.
