About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a HCPC accredited Psychologist.
My doctorate training has equipped me with the academic and clinical expertise which guide me during practice. My role as a university lecturer also roots me in the theory and philosophy behind practice.
My approach to supervision is integrative. I have extensive experience working in primary and secondary care NHS services, charity organisations, schools and specialist services. I have worked with young people from the age of 13+, adults and couples.
I take a keen interest in the role of psycho-social and cultural facets to therapeutic work.
The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.
Practice description
I practice CBT, psychodynamic, existential and attachment-based theory while integrating Schema techniques depending on individual needs.
As a supervisor, I will provide a safe place for therapists to be able to share their work, or any difficulties or dilemmas they might experience.
My practice is underpinned by reflexivity and so I aim to incorporate this into supervision.
My first session
Before the first supervisory session, there will be a preliminary consultation (free) in which we will get to know each other. This is where we discuss expectations and supervision-related matters.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my profile. Whatever has led you to this page, what matters is your curiosity and willingness to make sense of something.
It is this endeavour which I decided to make my professional vocation.
Whether you are feeling stuck, low, alienated or at a loss, you have arrived at a juncture at which I hope to meet you and help in achieving an alternative vantage point.
My doctorate training has equipped me with the academic and clinical expertise which guide me during practice. My role as a university lecturer also roots me in the theory and philosophy behind practice which aids me in understanding the lived experience of my clients.
Overall, my intention is to identify patterns which have been hindering your personal and professional relationships. In this spirit, my professional ethos is characterised by empathy, respect, collaboration and imagination. I aim to bridge sense-making with a move towards change.
The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.
Practice description
My approach to therapy is practical, creative, conscience-led and interactive. Together, we will work as intentionally as possible toward symptom relief, crisis resolution, discovery and recognising your creative potential.
Given we are multifaceted beings, coloured by family, culture and history, I adopt a relational approach and endeavour to understand my clients within the context of their past and present situation. I also practice psychodynamic/existential and attachment-based theory while integrating Schema techniques depending on individual needs.
My first session
Before our first session, I offer a free brief consultation to see if we can work together, to ease any apprehension, and to offer you an opportunity to ask questions. Coming to therapy can be unnerving and so having a pre-therapy talk goes a long way in knowing what therapy entails.
Our first session will offer a chance to meet each other either remotely or in person. During this session I invite you to share as much of your historical context as possible so that I can situate you within your previous and present experiences.
From this, we devise a plan of how to move forward, framed within collaboratively identified goals. There will be scope to ask me questions and to agree to a therapeutic contract.
