About me and my therapy practice
I am BACP accredited integrative-psychodynamic counsellor with clinical experience in various sectors, including higher education, profit and non-profit organisations and private practice. In addition to my counselling work, I also teach an Advanced Diploma course in Integrative Counselling at Regent's Park, London.
I completed my training in Core, Therapeutic, Group and Advanced Supervision with CSTD, London, in July 2024. Currently, I am working towards accruing clinical supervisory experience in order to receive my final certification.
I offer free of charge individual supervision to trainees as well as qualified professionals.
Practice description
Having worked as a lecturer prior to my counselling training, I have come to realise the importance of individuals to feel supported and accepted within themselves and their environments in order for them to grow and fulfil their potential.
In this sense, I am committed to creating a supportive, non-judgemental and collaborative environment whereby we can explore various aspects of your client work and reflect on how to plan and better utilise your personal and professional skills. Whether you are interested in raising awareness of any relational aspects of your work or focussing on your interventions, I can offer you a different perspective alongside a space to process any difficulties in your work, but also reflect on your successes.
My first session
During the first supervision meeting, I would be interested in hearing about your needs and goals as a practitioner.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP accredited integrative psychodynamic counsellor who has practised in various sectors, including private, charity and higher education.
I believe that therapy can mean various things for different people. To ensure I meet your individual needs, I take a flexible and integrative approach to counselling which blends psychodynamic therapy with humanistic models and CBT.
I am committed to creating a safe and empathic environment in which, through collaborative exploration and reflection of your past or present situation, you can raise your awareness of less conscious feelings, patterns of thinking and behaviour. I believe it is when we have access to this kind of understanding that profound changes and self-growth can take place.
Practice description
Whether you are feeling isolated, lost or unable to process complex feelings, struggling to cope with life situations, seeking self-acceptance, a deeper understanding of yourself or practical coping tools, counselling can offer a safe space for you to untangle internal conflicts and make sense of your pain.
At the heart of how I work is the therapeutic alliance. I believe that establishing a safe, trusting and honest relationship is conducive to meaningful insights, raised self-awareness and reparation. I view each client as unique and appreciate their distinct sense of identity and cultural perspective.
Alongside private practice, I teach counselling and support students on their journey to becoming counsellors. This role has reinforced to me our deeply inherent need to feel supported and to belong. I believe there is undeniable value in empowering individuals by facilitating a means for their voice to be heard and their genuine true selves to be acknowledged.
In the past, I offered brief therapy to students in performance arts and theatre production, having worked with a variety of presenting issues ranging from anxiety and panic, self-esteem and confidence, identity issues, relationship difficulties and family dynamics, grief and bereavement, to working with perfectionism, negative self-talk and processing feelings of anger or shame.
Before training to become a therapist, I worked as a lecturer across different countries for over 14 years, gaining an understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and promoting cultural sensitivity. I have a master’s degree in Creative Writing and have a special interest in the therapeutic and reparative value of writing.
My current practice is based in Angel and Barnsbury.
My first session
I offer an initial free of charge phone consultation which is usually between 15-30minutes. This is a good opportunity for me to learn more about yourself and what brings you to therapy. I can also introduce myself to you and answer any questions you may have.
If you are interested in having the initial consultation, the first step is to email me. I aim to reply within 48 hours.
Should you wish to book a first session after the consultation, then we can make the necessary arrangements. During the first session we can explore what brings you to therapy , what you'd like to get out of the sessions and how I can help you. This is also a good opportunity for you to decide if this feels right for you and whether you would like to work together. If that is not the case, I am happy to assist with referral suggestions that might be a better fit for you.
