About me and my therapy practice
As a supervisor it is my aim to provide a confidential and safe environment in which to build a warm, non-judgemental relationship with my supervisees. Reflecting together openly and honestly when discussing their work, allowing challenges and progression to take place.
I am an experienced accredited (by the BACP) qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor. I work with students and qualified counsellors.
Practice description
My supervisory approach is integrative. I am trained in using the Hawkins and Shohet model.
This model supports counsellors in exploring their client work in a thorough and reflective way. It allows for an in-depth examination of the client's issues, as well as key factors for the supervisee such as transference and counter-transference.
It’s crucial to explore the dynamics between the client, counsellor, and supervisor. By doing so, you, as the counsellor, can remain mindful of these dynamics to ensure that your client's best interests are always prioritized in your practice.
