About me and my therapy practice
Hello, as a BACP accredited Person Centered Therapist with many years of experience across cultures, ages and countries, I work hard at providing an environment that feels safe, confidential and open - a space that could be used to explore what is happening for you. Working closely with who you are as a person, in my experience, offers the surest way of finding solutions that work for you/with you. Why? Because they are created with you as the centre. Working with tools you already have, we can create ways of being that work.
Sessions of just under an hour, on a weekly basis with regular reviews works well to allow a good balance of work and evaluation of whether what is needed is being provided and what if anything is needed going forward.
I use external evaluation tools like the CORE Outcome measure so that you, as a client, should have an idea if things are changing for you in the direction you need or if something needs to be addressed differently. This also allows me to have insight into what you are looking for and whether what I am able to provide is of use.
Practice description
My journey as a counsellor began in 2001 and the variety of places, countries and peoples I have worked with has been a privilege that I have learnt from. Undertaking training as a therapist for adults and then later for young people, most recently I have completed training to supervise other counsellors. I feel confident in providing a space that will be what is needed for each client.
My first session
In my experience, choosing a therapist is a very important part of the process of creating this unique relationship, one which should feel safe and secure. I offer an initial half hour at no charge to give space and time to decide if we will work well together. Please do get in touch to arrange a chat, which should assist in allowing you to make a more informed decision
