About me and my therapy practice
I am a professional Counsellor and qualified Counselling Supervisor.
I work mainly as a person-centred counsellor but integrate other approaches when appropriate and helpful. I addition to my own practice, I have worked extensively in the third sector delivering counselling and supervision both as a volunteer and as a staff counsellor.
I received my Certificate in Creative Supervision from the Jenny Biancardi Consultancy which is accredited by the British Psychodrama Association (a member organisation of the UKCP).

As my counselling is primarily rooted in the Person-Centred modality, my style of supervision tends to lean towards an active but very much Person-Centred approach.

Practice description
Person-Centred counselling (one-on-one sessions) is a talking therapy. In our sessions, I will listen to you, ask questions, and help you to explore your issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviours, and perceptions so you can see and feel things in a different or more productive way. I am trained to listen to you in a way that allows for constructive exploration and positive steps forward.
Couples Counselling, also known as relationship counselling or marriage counselling, is a process whereby the partners in a relationship identify that there are areas in their relationship that need improvement. The couple’s counsellor facilitates discussion to help the couple change how they view their relationship and help them both explore feelings individually and within the partnership. The aim is for the couple to better understand one another and move away from dysfunctional behaviours that are causing harm and towards improved constructive communication.
The sessions are confidential. The environment of trust and confidence allows you to feel free and supported to disclose whatever is troubling you. Person-centred therapy is based on the philosophy that each human being is of value and has the potential for psychological change, growth and increased personal fulfilment.
