About me and my therapy practice
As an experienced couples’ counsellor and supervisor, I offer both online and in-person supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors working with adult clients, whether individuals or couples.
I work from an Integrative perspective using Relational, Systemic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural thinking.
My aim as both a Therapist and Supervisor is to build a warm, non-judgemental space and relationship for us to work collaboratively together to process and explore your clinical practice, and to further your growth as a practitioner.
Please let me know if you are interested, and we can talk to understand your needs.
Practice description
I trained and worked specifically as a couples counsellor, and work with couples and individuals over the age of 18. I also work with individuals around issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss of many kinds.
I worked for Relate, the national relationships counselling service and now focus on private practice, allowing flexibility with my availability and scheduling frequency.
My supervision approach is to use the seven-eye and integrative development models. I am trained in online as well as in-person supervision for experienced and trainee counsellors.
My first session
Finding the right Supervisor and Supervisee fit can be difficult and we won’t really know if we feel we can work well together until we get to know each other.

About me and my therapy practice
All my work in Scotland is currently offered online only. Having worked almost exclusively by Zoom since March 2020, I choose to continue now as I can say it has proved to be a fruitful and helpful method of counselling.
Although Zoom is my main platform, I also work by telephone or email if this is preferred.
I’m a specifically qualified relationships counsellor and I work with couples and with individuals who are worried about their relationships. Maybe there’s a feeling of growing apart and losing the ability to communicate, maybe there are hot arguments, or cold silences or there’s been an affair, maybe not. Everyone’s experience is different.
I always listen to you carefully and empathically. By helping you to find new ways to be heard by your partner, you can both discover what you need emotionally and you can ease the pain and disconnection of communication difficulties. I can help you to do this, to understand what has caused the issues and then to work together towards a solution that’s right for you.
Finding closeness and that sense of belonging again can improve not only your relationship but other difficulties in life also.
I offer personal warmth to create a feeling of acceptance and safety in our sessions.
As a registered member of BACP I want to enable you to feel listened to and understood. This safe, non-judgmental time allows you to work through problems with my support.
