About me and my therapy practice
I have been working as a person centred psychotherapist since 2018. For the past two years, I have been working in a busy NHS talking therapies service, seeing clients from a broad and diverse range of backgrounds. With my experience and knowledge, I can help newly qualified or trainee therapists who are looking for guidance and support as they start out in this challenging and rewarding field.
As I am working towards a formal qualification in supervision, I am offering lower rates to supervisees at this time.
Practice description
I will be working to the seven eyed model of supervision, which focuses on the relationships between client and therapist / therapist and supervisor, and the interplay between these in the wider system.
My background is as an integrative therapist, with a Rogerian person centred model at the core of my practice. I believe first and foremost in giving people a voice, listening to what you, the supervisee really needs to say or explore, as well as what the client needs to say and explore.
I will work hard to support you with managing things like risk, broad and diverse client presentations, contracting and boundaries as you train or start out in practice.
To contact me, please use the form on this page or email me at counsellorjosh@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
My first session
Our first session will be an informal "get to know you" / assessment, where we will discuss our arrangement and decide if we would like to work together.
Types of therapy
CBT, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Psychodynamic, Relational, Solution focused brief therapy
Clients I work with
Adults, Trainees
How I deliver therapy
Long term sessions, Online therapy, Short term sessions
