About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced Relational Integrative Supervisor. My three primary supervision models I integrate are the 7 Eyed-Model, Inskipp and Proctor 'Normative, Formative and Restorative' and the Cyclical model of supervision. The core relational element of my working model is rooted from the humanistic approaches (primarily Person-Centred). Integration of models allow me to tailor supervision for your unique individual developmental needs. It also provides structure within the session whilst also allowing the supervisee the space to consider hypotheses, link theory to practice, consider ethical and good practice issues and to process the impact of client material in a safe setting. I use traditional talking methods alongside more creative approaches such as sand-tray, objects, cards and stories to encourage counsellors to view their clients, themselves and their practice from a variety of perspectives and by exploring a wide range of techniques and interventions.
Practice description
I offer supportive supervision, ensuring that you feel confident in working with your clients safely and ethically.
I have L6 Therapeutic Supervision qualification and offer fortnightly/monthly supervision depending on what your needs are. I specialise in providing supervision to trainees, qualified therapists, child therapist and group supervision. I am also trained in providing clinical supervision to trainee Doctorate Psychologists on HCPC and BPS courses.
My supervision is Integrative in nature, which means that I can and do work with different counselling modalities quite comfortably. I provide supervision face-to-face and Online (Zoom, Teams).
Concessionary rates available for students and individuals on low income.
My first session
The Initial consultation gives us both the space and opportunity to get to know each other and see whether we can work together, collaboratively, in a Supervisor - Supervisee relationship. It is also the time for you to discuss your personal supervision requirements and ascertain whether I am the right Supervisor for your needs.
If our expectations match, we continue to explore the structure and process of supervision by paying attention to the frame of ethics, contract, confidentiality, boundaries and accountability taking into consideration your personal style of working whilst keeping at heart the best interest of your clients.
How long will my first session last?
Your session will last approximately an hour.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychotherapist working with adults, children and young people in Bristol. I offer a confidential space to talk about the difficulties you might be experiencing and to explore the positive changes you can make. If you want to enhance your quality of life and important relationships, I'll be happy to meet with you and discuss how counselling or psychotherapy can help you achieve those goals.Practice description
Counselling and Psychotherapy for Individuals: People can feel overwhelmed in their life and seek support to help them to habitual and intrusive thoughts, feelings and behaviors that limit their joy of life. Such issues include: Depression, Anxiety, Drug and Alcohol addiction, Low Self-Esteem and Confidence, Family and Relationship difficulties, Confusion about sexual orientation, Bereavement Counselling and Psychotherapy for Individuals: People can feel overwhelmed in their life for many different reasons.
These issues can be explored and resolved in psychotherapy, which result in real changes in the individual's way of life, improved relationships and an ability to maintain joy in the face of current distresses.
Counselling for Couples: I have much experience working with couples, and I understand that the way people experience themselves in a relationship is often very different to how they feel when with friends and other family members.
This means that the counselling needs to be tailored to meet the needs of each individual in the relationship, as well as the needs of the relationship itself, so it can flourish and provide an environment where you can experience joy in life and in one another.
Children and Young People: I hold a Master's level postgraduate qualification in counselling children and young people. I have been working with Help Counselling!, a Bristol-based charity, which provides counselling and psychotherapy across the West Country. So I understand the challenges young people are facing in today's society.
Professional Standards: I work closely with clinical supervisors, and, when necessary, with other outside agencies, such as GP's, schools and local mental health professionals. I follow the codes of ethics of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and am a Registered member.
