About me and my therapy practice
My approach to supervision is integrative, grounded in psychodynamic and humanistic, along with person-centred, CBT & TA.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor and I work with children, teenagers and adults. I am also qualified in online, telephone & text for counselling & supervision.
As well as having my own private practice, I work in a primary school as a school counsellor and as part of the safeguarding team with children aged 4-11 years old. I help the children as well as their families to work through their emotional and behavioural difficulties. I also hold parenting workshops, which allow me to empower parents with new found mental health knowledge on how to best support their children.
I have volunteered at my local hospice as a bereavement counsellor for the last 3 and a half years, supporting adults with their grief and sadness.
I have also worked at the Counsel House training centre teaching the level two counselling skills course to adults.
I have a very robust understanding of ADHD & ASD and offer my supervisees practical ways of working with their clients.
Practice description
I view supervision as a collaborative process, where together we can consider and reflect on your client's issues, along side exploring the relationship you have developed with them and looking at the work you have done together.
I offer a safe and non-judgemental space for you to develop as a supervisee in areas that will support you ethically and practically as well as personally. This will help you to recognise your strengths, weaknesses and biases and grow as a counsellor, leaving you with different perspectives and new awarenesses about your clients.
My first session
Initially, you can email me at sarah.sfaltos@yourtimetherapy.uk.
We can then arrange a free 20/30 minute telephone or video consultation. This will help me to understand your needs as a supervisee and will give me an understanding if I can support those needs. It will also give us an opportunity to make sure we can work together and for you to know if I'm the right supervisor for you.
We will then arrange a date and time for our first session.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified counsellor and I work with children, teenagers and adults. I work in an integrative way, which means I will use different theories to help us to understand and work through your issues in a way that is tailored to you.
I support individuals who have ADHD/ASD. I help them to understand these conditions and I offer emotional support and practical techniques to deal with every day life and grow their self awareness and confidence.
I have volunteered at my local hospice as a bereavement counsellor for the last 3 and a half years, supporting adults with their grief and sadness.
I have also worked at the Counsel House training centre teaching the level 2 counselling skills course to adults.
I work with a broad range of emotional difficulties in a non-judgemental way, by offering a safe and confidential space for you to explore your life, your relationships and yourself.
Life can feel overwhelming at times and that's when the daily challenges can feel bigger than they actually are. Whilst family and friends can be a great source of comfort and support, speaking to someone outside of that circle can really help you to be more open about your situation and can give you a different perspective.
Practice description
My practice is based at my home in Hornchurch.
Sessions last for 50 Minutes and can take place weekly, bi-weekly or as and when required.
Face-to-face sessions will take place in my therapy room, which is a comfortable, quiet and confidential space to talk and work through anything you need to.
Online and telephone sessions will also take place from my therapy room, ensuring the same level of confidentiality is maintained.
I work creatively with children, making the experience for them as enjoyable as I can. I sometimes work creatively with adults, when they struggle to connect or express their emotions. This allows them access to their unconscious, and helps them to process thoughts and feelings that may create conflict and inner turmoil.
Working in an integrative way, means we can explore different aspects of your life using different methods, including looking back at your past and childhood experiences. Often, our past experiences are something we carry with us on a daily basis and they affect us more than we realise.
My first session
Initially, you can email me at sarah.sfaltos@yourtimetherapy.uk.
We can then arrange a free 15/20 minute telephone or video consultation. This will help me to understand your needs and will give me an idea on how I can support you. It is also an opportunity for you to find out whether you feel I am the right counsellor for you.
We will then arrange a date and time for our first session.
Part of the first session will involve a discussion on how we will work together. I will then go through a short assessment with you, which will enable me to gain a better understanding of how I can best support you.
