Practice description

I have worked therapeutically for many years having training in humanistic, person centred models. I also utilise Transactional Analysis which can be particularly effective in supporting positive relationships between ourselves and others both at home, with friends and in the workplace. I have completed training in relation to short term work and coaching. I am experienced in working with adults and specialise in supporting children and young people.

Deciding to access counselling to support yourself can be a big step in its self and I aim to welcome you and help you to feel safe and supported during your experience of counselling. I will provide you with a safe, confidential space where you will be listened to non-judgmentally and experience empathy and kindness. I will not tell you what to do or make decisions for you but I will work alongside you as you manage your own needs and challenges and as you make decisions for your self.

There can be times for all of us where support is needed and counselling offers a unique, supportive space whether you have challenges in your life, you are experiencing difficulty or just feel you need someone to talk to independent of your friends and family. I am used to working with people who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety and stress. I am experienced in supporting family issues and stressors, especially where there is conflict.

To support you in finding the right practitioner for you, I offer a free initial 15 minute consultation session (by phone or online). This time enables us to meet each other, for you to ask questions and find out more about the process. It is really important that you find the right therapist for you and this time will support with that. If you decide I am not the right person to work with you, there is no obligation on you to continue. In this session we will talk about what you would like to achieve from our time together. I will give you an overview of the way we will work together and what you can expect from your sessions.

If you would like to arrange your initial free session please phone, text or email me and I will get back to you by phone as soon as I am able which is usually by the next working day.
