About me and my therapy practice
I am qualified to supervise both adult and CYP counsellors (L6) both in primary and secondary settings.
One of the focus areas of my supervision practice is supporting those working with neurodivergent clients or who identify as neurodivergent themselves.
Having been in private practice for 6 years I can offer counsellors the extra support needed to move into this area.
Practice description
My supervision style is adaptive and creative and I am keen to support counsellors to progress in their careers, especially into private practice or CYP. Not only am I there to support your client's work but to help you develop in areas you are interested in.
My aim is to together develop that working alliance so you can bring the successes and feel okay to bring parts of our work we reflect on and think ah I could do that differently.
Humour is part of my work and I am neurodivergent this means I like an open dialogue where we regularly review what your needs are and how we are working together. It allows me to support you to reflect on your client's work through a different lens and shine a light into corners that may have been missed.
As a counsellor I work in schools and in private practice with a variety of clients and experience. Especially with domestic abuse, bereavement, and neurodivergent clients
My first session
Initially, we would have a conversation to see what your needs are and how we could work together. It is important that your relationship with a supervisor fits well or there is a risk of non-disclosure.
Once you may like to work together then we look at your background, needs, and wants from supervision. From how you like to represent clients and models of supervision that could match you and your clients you being.
Regular reviews ensure we are meeting needs and supporting any changes or refocus as you develop as a counsellor.

About me and my therapy practice
I am qualified to counsel both adults and young adults
Alongside offering supervision for students, qualified counsellors and school staff.
As a counsellor, I believe in the essential need to create a space where you can bring everything you need and we can look at this in a way that works for you.
Sometimes we don't know what this starting point is or direction.
Counselling provides a base to start and develop this space when thoughts and feelings appear. You are the expert on your life we sometimes need someone to be there to help see what that looks like in life.
This can be looking at a specific event such as a relationship ending or bereavement at other times a exploratory look at several aspects of life.
My main counselling focus areas are anxomiety, relationship to others, domestic abuse, C-PTSD,being neurodivergent, bereavement and adoption.
I have experience of supporting those who identify as or who are diagnosed as autistic and/or ADHD. Especially the potential impact of diagnosis or exploration of what being neurodivergent means to you. We are all unique in this but have a shared language. Our co-created space becomes even more important especially when other aspects related to being neurodivergent.
These can appear as CPTSD, relationship difficulties, parenting NT and ND children, sexuality exploration and rejection sensitivity dysphoria.
I welcome students and look forward to supporting you through training and beyond. Both through personal therapy or as a supervisor.
Practice description
I work either through talking therapy or creatively. Following what feels right for you.
My first session
The 1st session is a stand alone session where we can explore how we could work together and gain a sense of what you feel you may need now.
As we continue to work together we will have regular reviews to check that we are still focused on what you want. Sometimes in counselling this changes as we work together from your initial goals.
