Good supervision is an essential part of working as a counsellor, supervisor or a professional working in the field of professionally supporting others.  As a qualified and experienced supervisor I can offer you a space for you to reflect on your current client work and to think about your ongoing personal and professional development.

About me and my therapy practice

Good supervision is an essential part of working as a counsellor, or in a helping profession.  I am qualified to offer you a space to reflect on your professional practice, while offering support in your challenges.

My core theoretical model and qualification is Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis, with further extensive training around Trauma and Addiction, working from a Trauma Informed Framework.

I have a long history working as a counsellor and heading up a Women's Service in the charitable sector, supporting clients and their families who were currently, or had in the past experienced domestic and sexual abuse, sexual violence, and/or coercive and controlling behaviour.

Through my work I have accrued vast experience working with clients who have experienced Trauma and Addiction.

As an extension to my practice I am also a qualified, Adult and Youth (11yrs upwards) Counsellor, gaining a lot of experience working in a sixth form college.

With a a successful Private Practice myself, I have learned that robust supervision is crucial for the counsellor, and supporting professional, when working with the complexities of our work. My supervisory practice is an extension of my own work with clients and I aim to share with you my knowledge and experience while offering the support required from supervision in the challenging work undertaken.

I would be happy to work one to one or in group supervision.  Supervision sessions and duration ( ie; bi-wekly or monthly) can be tailored to meet your individual needs.

Practice description

I would be pleased to offer face to face or on-line sessions.

Supervision is offered to counsellors & psychotherapists, NHS, health professionals, clergy, and to those working in the helping professions.

I am a member of the Bacp and I abide by their ethical framework.

My first session

First sessions include inviting you to share with me background information of your training and the way you work as a professional, along with what you are looking for in a supervisor. I will feed back to you how I feel that I can best support, or suggest to you where you may access alternative or maybe more appropriate/specialist support. I am a member of the BACP and follow their ethical framework within my practice, both as a counsellor and as a supervisor.

First sessions are charged at £60 per session, with no obligation to continue.
