About me and my therapy practice
I truly believe that it is the quality of the relationship that determines effective supervision.
My supervisory philosophy is at heart relational but distinct from my therapeutic work. I will take time to get to know you and your individual learning needs and pay attention to how previous experiences may affect your professional development. Ultimately, my aim is to offer a supervisory relationship that is both supportive but appropriately challenging within an ethical framework.
Practice description
After several years experience of facilitating student supervision groups, I gained my Diploma in Integrative Supervision of Individuals and Groups and now work privately and with a local charity.
I work with the 7-eyed model of supervision (Hawkins & Shohet, 1985) as it supports me to focus on the relationships between client, therapist and supervisor and also the wider context that influence each of us in unique ways.
My first session
I offer a 50% discount for an initial session of 1 hour. Hopefully, this gives us both time to experience how we may work together before we decide how to proceed. I have a good network of colleagues and, if I feel your needs may be better met by someone else, I will discuss this with you.

About me and my therapy practice
I believe that our earliest relationships shape who we are today. By looking at past relationships and events, we can begin to make sense of what is happening in the present. This is not about searching for someone or something to blame. Sometimes we get stuck in patterns based on these experiences.
My work is trauma-informed and I am trained to work somatically with a focus on how experiences may impact the nervous system and our ability to feel safe in relationships and the world around us. I hope that in our therapeutic relationship, you can find a way to move forward by focussing on a mind-body connection.
Practice description
I practice in the heart of Ewell Village in Surrey with easy access by car, train or bus. Please contact me for details.
My first session
I offer a full initial session at 50% of my standard fee and usually conduct this session on Zoom. This will give us the chance to begin to get to know one another and talk about what has brought you here. The session will also give you a flavour of me as a therapist, to see whether counselling feels like the right thing for you and whether I feel like the right person to help at this time.
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision. My hope is that we can build a therapeutic relationship that is unique to us but empowers you to make the changes you want.
