About me and my therapy practice
Face to face sessions available.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Choosing a counsellor can be a bit daunting. Counselling can be an amazing time of change with precious moments in the process. It works partly because the client feels freer to talk with someone outside their situation.
I work from a comfortable room in my home in Staines. I use a broadly person-centred approach to counselling which means we look at what the clients is experiencing now and possibly how past experiences influence them now. I believe the trusting relationship built between myself and my client is key to enabling them to explore troubling issues.
I am able to work therapeutically with individual adults and young people. I have experience of working with clients who are struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety and relationship problems. I often use creative interventions during counselling sessions and am comfortable exploring spiritual issues with clients.
I offer an initial 50 minute appointment for you to outline what you are looking for in counselling and to see if you think we can work together. Future sessions would be for 50 mins and generally at the same time each week/fortnight.
My location is easily accessible from Staines train station, the 458 bus route and there's parking available in the road, if you drive.
My first session
Initial counselling sessions last 50 minutes and cost £60. This session is used by the potential client to gauge how they feel to have counselling with me, to talk about themselves and to begin the counselling process.
