I provide supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors, to meet your ethical requirements and to enhance your professional practice.

I offer a Person-centred approach but do work with a range of counselling modalities. The frameworks I mainly use are Shohet and Shohet ‘The Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision’ and Page and Wosket the ‘Cyclical Model of Supervision’.

I also work with Teachers, NHS staff, Ministry of Justice staff and body therapists, to help you work through difficult situations and be the best version of you for your students, patients or clients.

I listen to what you need and give you support from a range of perspectives, experience and theory.

Continual professional training and research strengthens my practice. Recently: Understanding Autism, Trauma-informed Approaches, Attachment Theory and relationships, the nervous system and Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, Transactional Analysis, anger - rage - guilt - shame, Ecopsychology, Working with Couples, Neurodiversity in adults, ADHD in adult women and hormones.

About me and my therapy practice

I work with adult men, women and identifications in between. No matter your background, our similarities and differences, I aim to listen and understand you and create the conditions for you to move toward a fuller functioning you.

Being human is complex; many clients say they have a critical internal voice, suffer with self-doubt, lack of confidence, find it hard to talk about their feelings, seem unable to make a decision or change the way they do things.

As a counsellor I am familiar with these ways of being and can help you understand where they come from. The counselling process allows you to open up to the real you and your potential.

Practice description

My counselling style is evidence-based and founded in Person-centred Theory and I’m a big fan. I offer compassion and unconditional regard to all aspects of you throughout the work.

I might help you make decisions but won’t impose my beliefs or opinions onto you. If I don’t understand, I will ask and we’ll uncover your complexities together.

I endeavour to bring my kind honesty and authentic self to the work, along with professional boundaries, allowing you to feel safe. We create a working relationship built on trust and mutual respect. There may be tears but also laughter.

My first session
