About me and my therapy practice
I provide clinical supervision to counselling students and qualified counsellors either individually or in groups.
I am also a supervisor within NHS settings for Macmillan nurses and palliative care teams, as well as for teachers, head teachers and boarding staff within different education settings.
Supervision provides such a welcome space for you to breathe, explore your client work, reflect and take some time to yourself. It is where you can let it all out yet feel supported and listened to without judgement.
We will review your clinical work ensuring the clients best outcomes are at the heart of the therapeutic process. It is also important that you are able to remain safe and well while working in this field as it can be challenging physically and mentally.
I am here to provide a relationship based on mutual trust and learning, helping you to stay up to date with any training needs and also celebrating the joy this work can bring.
Practice description
I am a BACP accredited counsellor.
I have a Diploma in clinical supervision for individuals and groups and advanced training in working online with many years experience of supporting qualified and student counsellors
This means I can offer flexibility where you may choose face to face sessions or online...or a mix of both.
I am trained as an integrative therapist and I also hold specialist qualifications in adoption and fertility counselling which enables me to support you in your work in these areas.
My office is large enough for small groups and is risk assessed in light of the current covid crisis.
I follow BACP ethics and guidelines and am happy to support students and experienced therapists.
My first session
This is our chance to get to know each other and work out if we are a good match for supervision.
I offer a free 30 minute appointment either telephone, online or face to face where you can ask me any questions and I can explain how I work and hopefully give you a sense of what supervision with me will feel like.
I welcome any email enquiries if you would like further information and also please head over to my website where you will find more details.

About me and my therapy practice
Looking for therapy is brave and can feel daunting. I provide a regular space for you to talk about what's on your mind, what's causing you stress or worry and to figure out a way forward. This may be about current difficulties or the impact your past is having on you now, a crisis or a loss, relationship issues, anxiety or low mood.
Whatever you are feeling you need help with will be met with deep respect and support. Gaining insight into who you are and how you tick will allow you to lead a happier life; learning longterm skills to build a better future.
I offer counselling to men, women, teenagers and couples.
The key to a successful outcome is the relationship between client and counsellor and I will bring my authentic self to the therapy room. I do have a sense of humour and we will laugh at times! However, I will offer you a safe, confidential, empathic and non-judgemental environment with space and time to explore your issues, fears and difficulties.
My way of working will be based on your needs as a unique individual with your own personal story and challenges. Feeling safe and comfortable during your sessions allows you to heal with me by your side so please don't think you will be doing this alone.
Practice description
I am an NHS trained, BACP accredited integrative counsellor and have many years experience working with individual and couples. This includes CBT, client centred therapy and psychodynamic counselling.
I am qualified to provide counselling and supervision face to face as well as telephone and video link (Zoom or Teams)
I have worked as a counsellor in colleges, schools and the NHS and also for the local council supporting teenagers, as well as having a successful private practice.
My specialist training includes:
- Fertility counselling
- ADHD
- Adoption counselling
- Anxiety and depression
- Self-esteem and confidence
- Understanding who you are, identity
- Telephone and online counselling
- Working with couples, children, teenagers, families
- Trauma and abuse
- Filial Therapy (supporting parent and child together)
- Clinical supervision
As an acupuncturist of 28 years, I have a special interest in fertility issues for both women and men and provide a tailored program of treatment and emotional support.
My work is a reflection of who I am and I am committed to learning and exploring diversity and difference which means I am aiming to create a warm welcome to all people from all backgrounds. This commitment needs to be ongoing with anti-discriminatory practice being at the heart of my service.
My first session
From our first contact be in a voicemail, email or text, my aim is to be welcoming and gentle. It's a big step to take.
I offer either face to face sessions or online. Our first session will be a mix of formalities such as paperwork (the legal bits like confidentiality and boundaries) and getting to know you. We will explore whether the way I work matches your needs and if we are a good fit; then start therapy there and then. Of course you may need to go away and think about if you want to proceed with me which is perfectly ok. It is important that therapy works for you and feels useful, that we can create a relationship of trust and safety. It may take time to get to grips with the process of counselling as we are not all great talkers and sharers of feelings!
The first session will give you a flavour of what working with me will feel like.
