Availability
I have availability for additional supervisees - qualified or student counsellors.
I aim to meet you at mutually convenient times be that early in the morning or in the evening as I realise we all have different lifestyles and commitments.
About me and my therapy practice
I am person-centred in my beliefs and my approach to the other human who is beside me.
I am open to working online, in my room or outdoors in nature. I have a playroom and a sensory room available for sessions too if you wonder what it would be like to work in different settings.
I view supervision as a time for your practice. Reflecting on the recent client contact and what has been left with you.
I also offer supervision to teachers, social workers and youth workers. I am passionate about support other professions who may be listeners to vulnerable people and without counsellors rigorous training.
Practice description
With me I hope you will find someone who will listen, gently question and help you work out what is happening between you and the clients you share with me.
I work collaboratively. We know each others' role within the relationship as we discuss practice, but I work without judgement allowing you to form your own style and boundaries.
We work together with items you bring to supervision, I will help to clarify any ethical or procedural questions.
I may share my experience of my own client work from working with children, young people and adults. I can make you aware of training or reading that can possibly bring clarity or new understanding to you and your practices.
My first session
Being alongside fellow counsellors is a very rewarding place.
Being in the position as supervisor is a unique and privileged place
Ensuring you feel supported, seen and secure within the relationship we build is my priority and as such, our first 30 minute meet up has no charge.
Simply get in touch and we can arrange a suitable time and day and way - online or in person - to chat and get to know each other. And if you feel that we are a good fit, wherever you are on your journey to becoming the best counsellor you can be, then our supervision sessions can be a way of us learning from each other.
