About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Rachel, I've been an integrative therapist for 12 years and offer clinical and reflective supervision from an integrative perspective. My intention for supervision is to provide an open space to explore client work and anything which may affect it. My supervision style allows space to reflect and gain a deeper understanding of self and practice.
Practice description
I have experience working with children, teens and adults. I specialise in trauma, particularly trauma that has resulted from domestic and sexual abuse. However for the last five years I have worked in the NHS both as a DV/SV lead but also working with clients bringing a range of different issues. I have experience and training in play therapy, creative therapy, integrative therapy and counselling for depression.

About me and my therapy practice
I have worked as an integrative counsellor for the last 12 years, this means that I use different approaches and models of therapy and tailor them to the person in front of me.
It is important you feel able to explore what you want in a confidential, non-judgmental and open environment and so our sessions together will be tailored to your needs and go at your own pace.
Finding someone to talk to can feel daunting and risky, which is why I offer a free introductory phone call so we can decide whether our therapeutic relationship is the right one for you.
Practice description
Having worked for a number of specialist services I specialise in trauma, particularly that which has come from domestic or sexual abuse.
Over the last five years I have worked in general practice in the NHS and have experience working with a range of issues, as well as people from different backgrounds, cultures and faiths. I will always follow my client and incorporate this or not depending on whether you feel it is important to you.
My first session
Once you get in touch with me we will arrange a free 20-30 minute phone call in which we will introduce ourselves and start to discuss what you hope to get out of therapy. The phone call is free and there's no obligation to continue afterwards if you don't feel I'm the right counsellor for you.
If we decide to work together we can then arrange an initial assessment session, which is an opportunity to learn more about you, your hopes for therapy and your background. This session would be 50 minutes long and from here we can arrange weekly or bi-weekly appointments. The sessions can be booked as a set number or as open ended sessions.
