About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, open, person centred supervisor. I work in a supportive and challenging way to create a reflective space that will encourage you to develop insights and skills to deepen your therapeutic work. Whilst my philosophy remains person-centred, I also bring my extensive experience in working with trauma to supervision, to support you to develop your own confidence, resources and creativity in this field.
I have been providing supervision since 2013 to counsellors and other helping professionals. In addition to working individually, I have previously worked as a group supervisor to trainee counsellors at Salford University. I worked at Manchester Rape Crisis for a number of years; providing therapy, supervision and training. I currently provide work based supervision to a range of professionals in voluntary organisations and have a range of individual supervisees; from students to more experienced practitioners.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, open, person centred counsellor.
My approach is based on the dynamic work of Carl Rogers and I work in a holistic and creative way. I aim to provide a non-judgmental and safe space for you to explore your issues and to develop understanding. This in turn leads to the possibility of deep and lasting change.
Over the past eighteen years I have helped many clients develop greater self-awareness and kindness towards themselves, overcoming a variety of issues including: anxiety, attachment issues and trauma, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, work related issues, loneliness, stress, sexual violence, trauma and peri-natal issues.
I worked at Manchester Rape Crisis for ten years. I also provide work place supervision in the third sector.
I completed EMDR training in 2019 and offer this within my practice, alongside other trauma interventions and resourcing. EMDR is a NICE approved therapy for trauma.
For me, therapy is a collaborative endeavour. Research repeatedly demonstrates that it is the quality of relationship that is the most potent factor in facilitating change. I fully believe that and I am up for open, honest relationships with my clients.

To find out if we can work together I usually suggest we meet for around 30 minutes. This meeting is free of charge.
This will give you an opportunity to tell me what you are looking for and for me to tell you a little about how I might work with you. I can answer any questions you might have and you can see my therapy room.
After this, you can decide to go away and think things through or book in for a session.
