About me and my therapy practice
I offer a supportive collaborative space in which to explore your client work, how best you can support your clients. We will also explore how the work impacts you.
I work within the BACP ethical framework.
I hold a CPCAB level 6 certificate in therapeutic counselling supervision.
I am an accredited counsellor with the BACP with 16 years’ experience. I initially trained as a Therapeutic counsellor and have undertaken substantial training using the systemic approach to therapy.
I have a Level 5 diploma in Relationship counselling and an advanced certificate in systemic practice with families and couples. I use an integrative approach to therapy
I have worked for camhs, waves, women’s refuge relate and Koru. I have run the counselling service for a local college for 8 years, managing a team of trainee and qualified counsellors, in a very busy service.
I have experience of working with young people from the age of 10, teenagers, adults, couples and families.
Practice description
We all know working as a therapist can be both rewarding and challenging for us personally and professionally. Supervision is a way to guide us through our difficulties and celebrate our successes.
I offer supervision to both trainee and qualified counsellors’ along with professionals who may benefit from supervision.
Supervision is a safe place to explore your client work. We will consider ethical dilemmas and help develop your practice.
We will explore the therapeutic process and working practices along with exploring ways to develop these.
We will look at CPD interests and requirements.
My first session
In our first session, we would cover contracting, your needs and requirements as a supervisee. How best you feel I can support you.
If you have had supervision previously what worked and what did not, if our supervision was not meeting your needs how this could be addressed.
We would explore your model of working, the cliental you support, and any CPD you are considering undertaking.
