About me and my therapy practice
As a supervisor, I aim to provide a collaborative and supportive relationship in which you can develop as a therapist. I work in a flexible and open way and am happy to explore any issues which may impact your practice. I work primarily from a person-centred perspective but also have a Diploma in CBT so have knowledge of other modalities. I have been working as a supervisor for 11 years, offering individual supervision and group supervision for counselling organisations such as Kerith counselling and Cruse. I have ten years experience as a Tutor on PG Diploma courses including Strathclyde and Persona Counselling Group.
I believe that supervision is an essential part of counselling practice and I work hard to provide a space where we can be genuine, both with ourselves, and with each other.

About me and my therapy practice
For the past thirteen years I have worked in NHS, educational establishments, voluntary sector and prisons. I offer counselling from a Person-Centred perspective but also have qualifications in CBT and Creative Writing so can adapt the therapy to meet your needs. I work in a flexible and respectful way.
By providing a warm therapeutic relationship, I can help you explore your issues and enable you to find a way forward. This might involve coming to terms with painful experiences, being more accepting of yourself, or feeling more confident in your own decisions. It might also involve developing coping strategies if that is what you feel you need.
I know it can be daunting to ask for help, and it can be difficult to know how to choose a counsellor. As a Person-centred counsellor, what you want, and how you see things, is very important to me. I offer a free half- hour consultation to allow you to get a sense of how I work and to decide if it fits for you.
