About me and my therapy practice
ONLINE THERAPY
My journey to becoming a psychotherapist began when I was an expat, living outside of the UK. This experience led me, first of all, to look for a therapist for myself and ultimately to the decision to train as a psychotherapist, as I realized how "the talking therapy" can be so helpful in difficult times. That was many years ago now and in the meantime I set up what in now a long-standing private psychotherapy practice.
I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and work mainly online with adults, working to overcome emotional difficulties, to explore the issues and challenges that are causing distress and to provide support as we work together to alleviate anxiety and stress.
Please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to talk with you about your specific needs and to discuss how I may be of help.
I have specific expertise in providing therapy for those living outside their country of origin and those within the LGBTQ+ community.
I also bring the experience of my previous professional in banking and finance and sport at an international level.
Practice description
I am an integrative therapist which means that I trained in a range of methodologies of psychotherapy – principally psychodynamic, which means we would spend a lot of time thinking about your past. I also trained in existential thinking - so we would think a lot about what life means to you, to discover how you would like to live life. I believe my therapy is however based in humanistic theory, which guides my way of being with you, to help you to explore your own thoughts whilst being supported in a way that allows you to grow as a person as you work to find your way to happiness and a fulfilling life.
