About me and my therapy practice
I am a pluralistic integrative therapist and qualified clinical supervisor, with a holistic approach. I have experience working in both public, university/college, and third-sector charity settings, I also have a private practice. I have over 10 years of experience working with Complex Trauma and PTSD. As a pluralistic clinical supervisor, I work with flexibility, creativity, and engagement with my supervisees. I consider that having a collaborative and dialogic approach helps to draw from the skills, knowledge, and understanding of both my supervisee and me.
My style is open, flexible, and respectful, and I offer a space for my supervisees to safely reflect on and explore their practice, get practical advice, and recharge. As a strong believer in race, culture, gender, sexuality relationship diversity, and equality, I welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences.
I offer a safe and supportive space in which to explore and develop therapeutic work, professional development, and learning and creative approaches. I am passionate about the supervisory relationship which I view as a two-way process during which we explore professional and personal development whilst adhering to the relevant professional bodies' codes of ethics. Within a respectful and relaxed atmosphere, we reflect on the work, therapeutic process, and relational dynamics.
Practice description
I work with supervisees at all stages of their counselling career, from students to long-established practitioners, from all different organisations and private practices. An important aspect of supervision is helping supervisees to consider the impact of the work on the self. As a trained bodyworker and breathwork practitioner, when appropriate I bring mindfulness and therapeutic approaches into my practice to support overall wellbeing, resilience, and self-care.My first session
Pluralistic supervision is distinctive in two main ways: supervision sessions are structured and facilitated in accordance with pluralistic principles, and the supervisee is encouraged to focus on aspects such as (e.g. goals clarification, collaboration, use of feedback) that might be most relevant to their work with a specific client. I work in collaboration with you so you feel safe to explore all areas of your professional practice and personal development.
