About me and my therapy practice
I have been a qualified Person Centred counsellor since 2007 and Supervisor since 2016.
I have worked in many spheres, with adults, EAPs, educational settings, and children and young people.
I offer supervision to qualified counsellors, counsellors in training, managerial supervision and staff working in an educational setting.
My work is mainly person centred and integrative, using Hawkins & Shohet, 7 Eyed Model. This holistic approach explores the interactions between client, therapist and supervisor, whilst considering the broader context, relationships, interventions and personal impact of the work.
I want to provide a confidential space to allow exploration to enable the supervisee to work safely, ethically and effectively for all concerned.
Ultimately it is a relationship built on transparency and trust to focus on the supervisee’s professional practice, learning and development.
Also centred around client wellbeing, supervision is collaborative between Counsellor and Supervisor, exploring the therapeutic work.
Together, our aim is to support key elements of your professional experience, your practice and personal growth.
If you are new to counselling or the helping professions and looking for a supervisor or you are qualified and considering a change, please get in touch for a chat and we can explore your goals and see if I am the right fit for you.
Practice description
We would work together in a formative process that would provide insight into your counselling work and clients and provide a reflective space to develop your counselling practice and confidence.
I would create an atmosphere where you would feel safe, be understood and supported, learn and be challenged as well as understanding your and your clients processes.
My first session
Our first meeting, 30 minutes, will be free. This will allow for an opportunity to meet and ask questions to establish whether you feel comfortable for us to work together within the supervision sessions.
We can discuss what is expected and look at contracting and understanding the role of supervisee and supervisor.
The initial session can be on line or face to face.

About me and my therapy practice
I qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor in 2007 and also trained in Trauma Led work and Neuro Linguistic Programming. I have worked with people of all ages from children (in school settings), adults, EAP work, to older adults, from different backgrounds and cultures, each with their own individual experiences.
I offer a confidential, compassionate, non judgemental and friendly approach to counselling. I will help you to feel safe to explore feelings in a calm and empathic environment.
It is not always easy to face difficulties and find ways to resolve them. The counselling sessions will help you find ways to understand yourself that will bring about the changes which will help to improve your emotional and mental wellbeing.
Practice description
I offer sessions online via a digital platform and face to face.
Sessions available on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis as agreed.
Since each person is unique, I work with whatever issues you wish to address in each session, without judgment or giving advice, offering you instead the space to explore and make sense of your experiences, yourself and your relationships.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the core of the counselling process, it is important that you feel you have chosen the right counsellor for you. During counselling sessions, difficult or painful emotions may surface, and it is therefore vital you feel comfortable and safe.
There is never any expectation to talk about anything unless you feel ready to.
My first session
Taking the decision to start counselling can feel daunting. This of course may leave you with some questions around the process and what to expect from the counselling sessions.
I can offer a free, initial 15-20 minute consultation by phone where you can ask any questions you might have about the counselling process, explore what brings you to counselling and how we may work together.
We will also explore your expectations and what you are looking to achieve from the counselling sessions.
