Due to access demand I am opening up my Supervision hours to a Monday and Thursday and currently have some flexible availability on these days.
About me and my therapy practice
I have extensive experience working with trauma and abuse. I worked in clinical practice as a Supervisor for 3 years for a local charity. I have been working in a private capacity as an online only Supervisor for the last 2 years.
My practice is humanistic integrative and can encompass various modalities and ways of working.
Practice description
I am interested in working with people who are self reflective and want to better understand the interpersonal dynamics that can activate between Client and Counsellor, particularly transference and counter transference. I have experience in understanding complex relational patterns which can be beneficial for both the Supervisee and the clients that they work with to understand. I am passionate about how early attachment and trauma shape our present day responses and also the process required to earn self security and healthy attachment.
I work from a trauma informed attachment perspective and am interested in offering this knowledge to help others understand the themes and reactions embedded in the nervous system.
I have experience working one to one and in groups.
I aim to create a safe relational space where deep exploration, self reflection and trust can develop.
If you are interested in enhancing your practice by learning about trauma informed work, then please contact me to arrange your free 30 minute consultation.
My first session
I offer a free informal 30 minute consultation to discuss your needs and suitability to work together. If we agree to work together, I will send out a Supervision questionnaire and working contract. I ask that this is sent back to me completed via email, prior to our first session.

About me and my therapy practice
I have worked both privately and within the charity sector for numerous years as a Trauma informed Counsellor and Supervisor. My area of specialism has been working with complex relational trauma and attachment issues caused by sexual trauma and domestic abuse. The way that I work is integrative and has been influenced by modalities including Person Centred, Trauma Informed, Internal Family Systems and Psychodynamic attachment theory. This is underpinned by my life long quest and understanding of the spiritual dimensions of life. I understand that the times we find ourselves in are calling for dramatic transformation, on a personal and collective level. Old emotional debris is now rising to the surface at a rate that many of us have felt unprepared for. This can feel rapid, intense and overwhelming at times.
My style of counselling has been honed to aid healthy holistic integration. I can support you to see the root cause of various feeling states and behaviours and will help you to understand the meaning that certain survival based adaptions had at the time. As humans, we need to comprehend what is happening before we can take action and embrace change. It is then that we can visit unresolved emotions and beliefs and learn the compassion and acceptance necessary to process and reintegrate the previously frozen energy back to the authentic self.
I pay special attention to patterns and themes and how these present. It is by becoming aware of these often subconscious mechanisms that we can change them, claim back our power and reclaim our freedom.

Practice description
The spiritual aspect of the mind, body, soul triad is often ignored in mainstream western psychology but is crucial to include if a person is to become more fully themselves without the need to rely on less healthy functions of parts of self that are often referred to as the ego. Fragmentation of the self is an epidemic and unhealthy coping mechanisms are a deep issue for many of us. If we are to move on from this and heal individually and collectively, we need to learn the skills needed to bring ourselves back to a state of wholeness and alignment with our authentic selves.
Through my work I have become aware that it seemed more challenging for people to move forward without an understanding of the spiritual aspects of life, such as how our system of reality works, knowledge of our innate power to create, intuition and multi dimensional states of awareness. I decided that I would like to play more of a part in bridging the gap between mind, body and spirituality. Many distortions exist in the spiritual community which I feel could be addressed and upgraded through relational attachment awareness and the associated integration work. I feel called to help facilitate with these shifts in consciousness and would like to hear from you if this work also resonates with you.
You can expect a relaxed, supportive and creative space that allows your natural development to unfold and takes into account a wider multi dimensional perspective.
My first session
I offer a free 30 minute chat over Zoom or FaceTime to see if we will be suitable to work together before your initial session. I will talk about what you can expect in your first session then.
All therapy sessions are ONLINE only. Please contact me via email to arrange a suitable time and day.
