About me and my therapy practice
I became a qualified Integrative supervisor after completing my doctorate in Counselling Psychology which was also Integrative. My approach to therapeutic work is deeply relational and existential in essence, but I can work with therapists of any background that is a blend of person-centred. I am keen to support new therapists establishing their private practice or more experienced therapists who wish to go deeper with their work. Therapist wellbeing is always part of the conversation.

About me and my therapy practice
I have worked as a therapist for more than 20 years and my doctoral research focused on the biopsychosocial impact of trauma. I offer a 10-week Trauma Counselling Programme to support clients with any type of traumatic wounding. This can be a single event trauma such as an accident, bereavement, unexpected life circumstance etc. It is also possible to heal ongoing trauma from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), relational trauma, discrimination, institutional trauma and so forth.
The Programme focuses very much on exploring what may have been locked in the body at the time of experiencing unbearable distress. The exercises in the session help to identify what triggers are activated in everyday life, and track the reactions in the body to locate where the wounding is held. These wounds are usually linked to historical trauma, so by addressing current challenges we are also healing the past.
The trauma work is gentle and tailor-made to suit the client, who is always empowered to guide the pace and depth of the enquiry. Rather than being heavy or intense, the work can be very joyful and liberating once the client experiences how simple it can be to release old holding patterns.
Please get in touch to discuss your needs further, if you feel there is something from your past that prevents you from living fully today.
The Programme runs for 10 consecutive weeks and costs £80 per session, however, payments can be spread out over 8 months @ £100 per month to make it more financially viable where required.
The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member's doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.
