About me and my therapy practice
My aim as a supervisor is to create a collaborative, safe space where you can think about your client work, discuss your concerns and challenges and help enable you to deliver the best service possible for your clients.
I work flexibly to meet your needs and standards of set by your professional body (or course provider if you’re a student). Whether you’re a counsellor, coach, supervisor, HR professional, front-line worker or other professional, we can reflect on the multi-layered and multi-dimensional layers of your work, your development and well-being and if relevant the challenges of being in private practice and running your own business.
I have a post-graduate certificate in supervision and Hawkins and Shohets’ 7-Eyed Supervision Model as well as the Thinking Environment ® to provide a space that allows you to think for and as yourself; to increase your self-awareness and utilize your existing knowledge, strengths and abilities.
Practice description
My approach focuses on the needs of my clients, and I’ll work collaboratively with you to tailor sessions to focus on your goals and needs for our work. As a therapeutic coach, I am able to make use of a variety of ways of working to accomplish that.
I am happy to work with practitioners who use a variety of different modalities and models in their work, including humanistic approaches, creative and solution-focused approaches ways of working, as well as CBT. In addition to practitioners who work one-to-one with clients, I also supervise clients who work with couples and family relationships as well as those working in a front-line caring role or a role that involves the support and development of staff.
I offer in person appointments as well as online sessions and I’m happy to have an extended session once a month or to split sessions if that works better for you.
I charge £60 per hour session (and £80 for an hour and a half session).
My first session
Research shows that the relationship between supervisor and supervisee has the biggest impact on whether the work is successful. I aim to provide a safe and supportive space where you’re able to talk about any aspect of your work and its impact on you.
It’s really important that you find the right supervisor, so I offer a free 30 min session either online or in person. That way you can get a chance to find out more about how I work and see whether I’m the right supervisor for you.
If you do decide you want to work with me our sessions can be online, via phone or face-to-face – we can also use a mixture of those if that’s what works best for you.
