About me and my therapy practice
I offer Clinical Supervision for counsellors, therapists and other professionals working within the social and mental health care and education sectors. I work with practitioners in private practice and as an external Clinical Supervisor for organisations and services who pay for supervision for their employed or contracted staff. I trained Integratively and work with practitioners from all backgrounds and with most theoretical approaches.
I believe the most effective Supervision is a collaborative experience. I want you to get the most out of your supervision sessions, therefore my priority is that we build a good relationship where you feel comfortable to share yourself and your practice openly. I expect you to take responsibility for what you bring and need from your sessions and take a relaxed and flexible approach to how we achieve those needs together.
Practice description

• Bring my knowledge and experience to open discussion.
• Offer you a compassionate perspective on yourself, your work, and your clients.
• Share an honest and open relationship with you.
• Nurture your own internal supervisor by encouraging and challenging you to find your own answers.
• Respect your wisdom and experience even if my own professional practice approach or opinion may differ.

About me and my therapy practice
I qualified as a counsellor in 2007 and over the years have had the pleasure of working with people of all ages, and each with their own unique experience of life and their own unique story to tell.
I have a humanistic focus, a relaxed, eclectic style and am client-centred at the heart of all I do. In practice this means that I don't tend to use one model, but I usually utilise a range of approaches, drawing from experience and training I have gathered over the years, and building on this collaboratively with you. This way, whether you are seeking a short-term solution-focused approach, a more in-depth exploration of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, or you need a safe, longer-term space to share and make sense of yourself and your experiences in your own time, the counselling process respects your unique needs.
We begin wherever your story starts now, and we turn the pages back and forwards together from there.
Practice description
At the core of my practice is the belief that everyone deserves to be heard and valued. I am committed to creating a warm, honest, and open environment where you feel comfortable to be yourself and to share your story, experiences and emotions without feeling judged.
I work online using Zoom, which is a secure video platform and instant chat service - you can choose to work with me using video or instant messaging, which works the same way as using things like WhatsApp.
For each session I send you an invite via email for the agreed day and time. You will need to find yourself a quiet, comfortable and private space where you won't be disturbed, but feel free to bring along a cuppa or a drink and to make yourself relaxed.
My first session
It's natural to feel nervous about what to expect from Counselling. I offer an initial 20 minute online or telephone session where you can have a brief, informal chat about what you feel you need from me and from Counselling, and to ask any questions.
It's important that you feel comfortable with me and with using video for your sessions. This initial chat also gives you an opportunity to get a sense of whether I'm a good fit for you and to try out video to see how it feels.
