About me and my therapy practice
If you are looking for helpful ,professional support through difficult times ,for example bereavement, relationship issues , challenges within your personal or professional life ,changing circumstances ,I may be the person to help and support you .
I am an Accredited ,experienced person-centered counsellor offering private practice in a quiet location ,close to motorway networks. Easy parking and an initial free consultation if requested.
As a counsellor, with over 18 years experience in client work I am able to offer short or long term therapy. I am there to work alongside you ,bringing my expertise and understanding ,not only in times of distress but also in the search for balance and healing . I will offer a safe space where you will be supported in your exploration of concerns or issues .
I am experienced in EAP work ,exploring issues linked to employment and well being at work .I work as a schools counsellor with young people [11-16] and have considerable experience with bereavement and loss, life changes , relationships and supporting individuals in making complex decisions and choices .
Practice description
I work in a private space at ground floor level .There is space for parking ,however I am unable to offer a waiting area before your appointment time .
My first session
If you prefer an initial meeting then we will arrange to meet for 30 minutes to have opportunity to talk through your expectations from our work together and ask any questions that may help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you .This is not a therapeutic session but has the benefit of us making an informed choice about potentially embarking on therapeutic work . If you wish to book a session straightaway that is absolutely fine and then we will meet for 1 hour .
There will be some paperwork for us to look at and some information to pass to you around contracting ,appointment booking and payment preferences .
