I currently have availability to take new supervisees.

Supervision can be offered online and in person.

I work flexible hours and generally offer supervision on Monday, Tuesday morning and Friday.

I offer online sessions via Teams or Facetime. I have a therapy room in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent where you are welcome to attend for face to face supervision.

About me and my therapy practice

I have been a qualified Play and Creative Art Therapist and Filial practitioner for approximately 15 years and have delivered school based therapy services throughout that time. I have more than 5years experience delivering Clinical Supervision to Counsellors and Play Therapists.

I specialise in working with children within mainstream schools from a variety of backgrounds including bereavement, trauma, fostering and adoption, and neurodivergence. I am also experienced in working with the parents/carers and professional teams around the child.

Practice description

My therapy and supervision practice is primarily client led and non-directive. I believe and trust the client to know what they need to do within sessions.

I deliver creative clinical supervision which allows for a combination of traditional verbal exploration, in addition to art based techniques to enhance the supervisory experience.

Using creative supervision activities leads to deeper insights into the clients process, and can raise the therapist's awareness to transference and parallel processes that may have been difficult to identify otherwise.

The aim for our sessions is for you to have increased understanding, knowledge and awareness of your clients' process, yourself and your practice. This may lead to us identifying aspects of your practice you wish to develop or learn more about. I believe, this collaborative process will lead to you becoming the best practitioner you can be.

My first session

Free - I offer a phone call for us to chat about your supervisory needs and so we can each assess whether we feel we will work well together. I find that this is usually enough for us to decide whether to proceed with a meeting. At this point we'll discuss the cost and invoicing, (2024-2025 rate is £45p/hr for a qualified counsellor or therapist) and the frequency you will want to attend.

1st Meeting - this is usually done online or face to face. We'll agree our supervisory contract and you may wish to begin your supervision by sharing some of the clients/issues you wish to explore.

Following this, we will each sign the supervisory contract and we will begin working together at a frequency to meet your requirements.
