About me and my therapy practice
I work in a humanistic way, drawing from experiential and existential modes. As such I try to integrate a range of experience into my work. I am curious and open to continual learning in my work.
I've been valued as offering a good balance between a highly supportive and a usefully challenging style!
I was previously a Programme Manager of an established and successful Counselling Diploma and as such, have a lot of experience and enthusiasm in working with trainee counsellors.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello I'm Ben.
There are many reasons why people look for counselling. I aim to work together to find out what's best for you.
I have over 10 years experience working with a range of people in a variety of ways.
Sometimes people need an open space to talk, sometimes a little more guidance. Sometimes people need more care and support, sometimes more direct invitations to explore. We will try to find the right balance together.
I think it's important to feel safe, to be really listened to, to be believed in and accepted. That's what I'm here for. Facing things in our lives can often be hard and I will do my best to make that easier.
Practice description
I work from a confidential garden room just outside of Helston. On a clear day there's a beautiful view.
I also offer video sessions over a secure platform.
My first session
I'm happy to have a friendly brief chat over the phone at mutual convenience to work out if we might work well together. Or to do that via email / text if that feels better.
On our first session I may ask some questions and take some details to help us start our work together. There will be no obligation to have a set number of sessions, we can just see how it goes.
