About me and my therapy practice
As a BACP accredited practitioner, I specialise in working with children and young people and hold the position of clinical lead in a large high school alongside my supervision practice.
I'm a trained teacher and worked as such for over a decade before pursuing a PGDip in counselling children in schools, a Masters in counselling and psychotherapy and a further Diploma in child, adolescent and adult psychotherapy and counselling supervision.
As a supervisor, I've worked with practitioners from a wide range of modalities including trainees and experienced counsellors/psychotherapists, individuals and groups.
Theoretically I am integrative and also train and consult for schools who wish to expand, embed or enhance their therapeutic services.
Practice description
I have a thriving private practice centred around supervision which truly is a passion of mine. At the moment I'm working predominantly online but will be resuming the option of face to face in due course.
In supervision I integrate relationally-driven approaches alongside attention to unconscious processes; I also like to invite the arts where welcomed. I will sometimes (depending on supervisee preference) facilitate grounding exercises which can help us bring our fullest attention/presence to the work.
In groups, there is not only opportunity to share rich, clinical thinking but also to offer up our experience and resources to one another with the view to fostering best practice.
Fees start at £35/session for 90 minute groups.
£55-75 for individual sessions (50 mins) depending on circumstances.
My first session
In the same way that a client and therapist might experiment with compatibility, it's important to me that there is a compatible chemistry in the supervisory relationship that generates curiosity, experimentation and exploratory thinking.
Before a group or individual session, I would always offer an introductory voice or video call.
At the outset, 1:1 sessions will see us feeling out the potential for our relationship. Naturally, if we are a good fit we would contract together in a way that can be added to or tailored over the course of our work.
Please note: groups are booked in three-week blocks to optimise consistency and an opportunity for group process.
