About me and my therapy practice
I have 15 years of experience as a school counsellor and child psychotherapist. I work as a supervisor mainly for those who work with children of primary school age and also for supervision of work with young people. My approach is relational using an integrative perspective. I work with supervisees using appropriate models to enable their work and support their development, both through explicit learning and expressing unconscious material. I help supervisees understand themselves better, and feel more empowered to work with their clients or manage difficult situations. I have successfully completed a 6 month supervision course with the London Art Therapy Centre.
My work with children of primary school age includes parents and carers as well as school staff to provide a holistic assessment of strategy and reappraisal alongside working with the child’s internal world.
As well as verbal means, I use art, visual or sound imagery, play and other creative methods to those who wish to use them. I also focus on body sensations and the use of breathing where appropriate.
I abide by the BACP code of ethics and receive regular supervision and professional development.

About me and my therapy practice
My approach is relational using an integrative perspective. I work with an adult or child to find out what is important, both expressed and implicit. I help the client understand themselves better, mentalise emotional states and feel more empowered to tackle their issues or difficult situations.
My work with children of primary and secondary school age includes parents and carers as well as school staff to provide a holistic assessment of strategy and reappraisal alongside working with the child’s internal world.

I also focus on body sensations and the use of breathing where appropriate. I have completed part 3 of EMDR training which many clients find a powerful tool to release past difficulties. I help to explore and integrate conflicting parts of the self using the Internal Family Systems model.
