About me and my therapy practice
As a supervisor, I am committed to creating a space of nurturing development and challenge. I encourage reflection, learning and collaboration in the space and am passionate about championing good practice in counselling. My approach is gentle and light, but with a strong ethical grounding and an understanding of working with integrity.
I have worked as a counsellor since 2015 and love the work that I do. My approach is primarily person-centred but I tend to work on a pluralistic basis, to empower clients with further knowledge to understand self. I have worked in private practice and within charity settings, where I currently hold a role of counselling lead.
I have particular interest and experience of working with young people and with autistic adults.

About me and my therapy practice
I’m here to listen. I offer a calming, supportive space for you to be able to express and work through whatever has brought you to counselling.
My approach is primarily person-centred and I aim to provide a space where you can be yourself, and where you can be heard. I will work with you to develop a trusting relationship in which you can share and explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings. I am not here to judge you or to tell you what to do, but I will try to understand your experience from your point of view. I am passionate about helping people to understand themselves better and make decisions from that place of greater awareness.
I qualified in 2014 and have several years of experience as a counsellor in the charity sector and in private practice since then, with both adults and young people. I am BACP-accredited (2016) and qualified as a counselling supervisor in 2023. I have an additional interest in neurodiversity and have experience and training to support my counselling work, particularly with autistic people.
My first session
I am happy to offer a free 15 minute telephone call to discuss whether working with me might fit with your hopes for counselling. If you prefer to book in and take it from there, that’s ok too.
In our first session, I will go through some background information questions, discuss boundaries (such as confidentiality) and answer any questions you may have about the process or how I work as a counsellor. If you feel comfortable in the space we will start to explore what has brought you to counselling.
