About me and my therapy practice
I'm a professionally trained and qualified supervisor, and have been working for 15 years with counsellors using different therapeutic models, in various settings - schools, GP surgeries, student services, the voluntary sector and in private practice. Working alongside colleagues I am able to offer a space to reflect, and a safe and appropriately challenging setting. I hope to support counsellors to both enjoy and feel contained by our work together. Fundamentally I believe clinical supervision should be an honest and creative experience for both supervisee and supervisor, I have extensive experience in working with counsellors with varying levels of experience - from trainee counsellors to therapists who have been in practice for many years. I very much enjoy the potential therapeutic creativity working as a supervisor.
Having originally qualified as a psychodynamic counsellor, I have gained from further training and working with colleagues using different theoretical models. Consequently I am able to offer both psychodynamic and integrative supervision. Within supervision I use a relational approach exploring the overlapping relationships between counsellor/client, supervisor/counsellor, and supervisor/client. This approach is very flexible and can bring new understandings of client material and options for the client.
If you would like to meet up to discuss your supervision requirements please feel free to contact me.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited counsellor with over 20 years' experience working as a therapist in Brighton and Horsham.
I believe it is a privilege to work with clients as a counsellor; I enjoy my work and am committed to providing a high standard of therapeutic support. Currently I provide short and long term counselling to both individuals and couples. I have experience of offering counselling for a wide range of difficulties and work within private practice and established specialist agencies.
Whether you want to explore past events, are worried about what the future might hold or want to solve current difficulties, counselling helps to deal with issues that may cause emotional distress or that prevent you from living your life to it's fullest. I offer my clients a safe and confidential service drawing on many years of experience and training I am committed to counselling care focussed on and tailored to each individual.
My practice is located in Kemptown and Seven Dials, Brighton, as well as in Horsham, West Sussex. All clinics are comfortable; easily accessible by public transport and have on street parking.
From my experience an initial meeting with a counsellor prior to starting counselling can be helpful in giving you an opportunity to think about whether they are someone you feel comfortable with. Whatever has led you to counselling, the relationship between yourself and the counsellor will be important to the success of your therapy.
Once you have decided that you want to change something in your life and are taking steps to look for a counsellor, then you are already on the way to gaining a better understanding of yourself and to finding a happier, more fulfilling life. I hope the information on the BACP website will assist you in making a decision about counselling and finding a counsellor.
