About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced counselor with over 10,000 counselling hours and over 2000 Supervision sessions.  I believe  supervision is a collaborative process and a mix of supportive mentoring, education, and reflective practice. This way of working allows the practitioner, supported by their supervisor, to develop their clinical practice safely and ethically

I run a counselling charity and regularly supervise  counsellors and students. I have a vast experience working with children, young people and families.

I teach counselling from Level 2 to degree level . I also run group supervision sessions and  Personal Development groups.

About me and my therapy practice

As a therapist, my approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe that therapy is a partnership where we work together to explore your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

I use an integrative approach that combines various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, trauma informed,  Rewind Therapy and psychodynamic therapy. I am also an ADHD & Autism coach and specialist, This allows me to tailor my approach to fit your individual needs, whether you're seeking to address specific concerns like anxiety, depression, or trauma, or looking for deeper self-understanding and personal growth.

I believe in a holistic view of mental health, acknowledging that emotional, physical, and social factors all contribute to overall well-being. In our work together, we may explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, while also considering how your relationships, lifestyle, and life experiences shape who you are.

I focus on fostering a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and open communication. I encourage self-reflection, and I may offer tools and strategies to help you cope with stress, increase emotional resilience, and build healthier patterns of thinking and behaviour. I also recognise that change is a process and that healing takes time.

Whether you're facing a specific life challenge or seeking to deepen your self-awareness, my approach is designed to meet you where you are and support you in reaching your goals.

Practice description

In my practice, I offer a compassionate, person-centered approach to therapy, where the focus is on your individual needs, goals, and experiences. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself and explore the challenges you are facing. My aim is to provide a space that promotes healing, self-discovery, and personal growth.

I work with individuals of all ages, addressing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, Autism, ADHD, Attachment, Relationship, and life transitions. Whether you’re seeking short-term support for a specific issue or long-term therapy for deeper emotional work, I tailor my approach to suit your unique needs. Together, we will explore the root causes of your concerns and work toward practical solutions that help you achieve lasting change.

In therapy, I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic therapy, among others. I believe that therapy is most effective when it’s collaborative, and I value open, honest communication. I will work with you to set clear goals, develop coping strategies, and increase self-awareness, all while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I understand that seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Whether you’re struggling with daily stressors, past trauma, or simply looking for guidance, my practice offers a safe space to navigate your journey toward healing and well-being. Together, we can build a path forward to help you thrive.

My first session

In our first session together, my primary focus is to get to know you and understand the reasons you are seeking therapy. This session is a chance for you to share your concerns, goals, and any challenges you're currently facing, while I gather important background information to guide our work together.

To ensure a comprehensive understanding, I will send you some online forms to fill out and an intake form prior to our session. This form includes questions about your history, current well-being, and any specific issues you'd like to address in therapy. It helps me get a clearer picture of your needs and ensures that our work is focused and effective from the start.

During the first session, we will discuss your expectations for therapy, what you hope to achieve, and explore any past experiences with mental health support if applicable. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about my approach, how therapy works, and what you can expect moving forward. I want to make sure you feel comfortable and confident in the process.

In terms of fees, you can access a free 30 min consultation session. Typically rates are set unless specified. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I aim to create a calm, welcoming environment where you can feel at ease and know that your journey toward healing and personal growth is supported.

At the end of our first session, we will discuss a plan for moving forward, setting goals for future sessions, and deciding on the best frequency for meeting based on your needs. My goal is to ensure that you leave the session feeling more confident about the process and your path forward.
