I am BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with a supervision qualification accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). 

My counselling and psychotherapy training has involved a range of modalities including integrative, solution focused, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, internal family systems, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and somatic approaches. Hence my model of supervision is best described as integrative. My clinical practice is both attachment, and trauma informed, which also holds significance for the model of supervision I offer. 

I believe that effective supervision incredibly important for all clinicians, to assist us in working safely and competently, whilst promoting reflective practice and self-care. Supervision is also a space and process that I enjoy very much, both as a supervisor and supervisee, in addition to finding it incredibly useful for continued professional and personal development.

Please note: I only offer online supervision via zoom,  which has always been the case, even pre-covid.

I am an integrative trained counsellor, psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and EMDR clinician, specialising in psychological trauma. I'm based in central Manchester, and both UK registered and an accredited member of the BACP. I have a passionate belief in the human capacity for change, and I am therefore committed to using my skills, training, knowledge and experience to support those who seek my services in assisting them to do so.

My core training is integrative, meaning that I draw on a broad range of theoretical approaches, ways of working and types of interventions to assist clients with whatever it is they’re struggling with, whilst providing a type of theoretical framework that enables me to integrate these together safety and effectively. 

I deliberately chose to initially train in an integrated approach because I believe that this allows me the freedom and flexibility required to remain open, responsive and fundamentally informed by the needs of the clients I work with, whilst co-creating a treatment approach with them that is as unique as they are. 

I have since trained in other types of therapy and intervention over the last ten years,   including solution focused, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, internal family systems, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and somatic approaches.which increase my ability to assist clients in more creative ways, and enhance this flexibility. I passionately believe that we are all individual and different, and so it’s important for me as a therapist, that I’m able to work in ways that acknowledge and nurture that difference while ultimately respecting the very essence of what makes us everything we are.

Please note: I am currently only offering online/video therapy via zoom. I do appreciate that this will not suit everyone, and so please consider your preferences prior to contacting me.

Personal preferences aside, I can state with absolute clarity, that there is literally nothing that I am able to offer in terms of therapeutic intervention and approach face to face, that I am unable to offer online. This includes EMDR treatment, which I offer online via a specialist EMDR platform, utilising dots on your screen, and sound effects.
