About me and my therapy practice

Registered Counsellor (ACC Accredited) based in Denbighshire, North Wales offering counselling face-to-face, online via ZOOM or telephone. I am a qualified Counsellor at Advanced Diploma level, with an MA in Counselling Studies at the University of Chester with 16 years counselling experience . I offer one-to-one counselling to individuals and couples, and I also provide counselling supervision. Counselling sessions provide an opportunity for the client to work through their own particular difficulties with the support of a counsellor in a way which is beneficial to them. I aim to provide a compassionate atmosphere of unconditional acceptance in order to help the client explore any difficulty they might be facing, find completeness and move forward. I use an Integrative Model which is Person-Centred at core, having elements of Psychodynamic, and if appropriate, interventions from Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). With a high level of empathy and personal insight I have special experience in helping clients suffering from depression, anxiety, bereavement, abuse, relationship issues, anger management or those simply needing to make sense of their lives or develop greater self-esteem.  I am also at home working with aspects of Spirituality.
