The BACP Register includes those members who have met our standards for registration. If you can’t find someone this may be because:

• they’re no longer a BACP member
• they’re not a Registered, Accredited or Senior Accredited member (Student, Individual and Retired members do not appear on the Register)
• they’ve had their membership sanctioned or withdrawn by BACP. You can find a full list of therapists to whom this applies in our Professional Conduct Notices

BACP is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority through their Accredited Register programme. The programme accredits registers of people who work in health and social care roles that are not statutory regulated. It’s jurisdiction is limited to those who are resident in the UK only and has no jurisdiction elsewhere.

Once registered, and depending on membership type, registrants can use designatory letters which show as Registered Member MBACP, Registered Member MBACP (Accred) and Registered Member MBACP (Snr Accred).
