About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Georgina
I am a BACP registered experienced psychotherapist who works intuitively and integrates somatic techniques into the therapeutic process. My approach combines traditional psychotherapy with a deep understanding of how the body holds emotional and psychological trauma, allowing us to work with both the mind and body for more profound healing.
I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where we can explore your emotional, mental, and physical experiences to support your journey of healing, self-awareness, and growth.
My Approach
By combining psychotherapy with somatic practices—such as breath-work, mindfulness, body awareness, and intuitive insights—I help clients unlock and process trapped emotions in a safe and supportive environment.
I work with each individual in a tailored way, working with my intuitive sense to offer insights that can help you gain clarity and understanding. I draw upon a range of techniques, including:
Embodied Processing: A body-focused therapeutic approach that helps release trauma stored in the body.
Mindfulness and Grounding: Techniques that help you stay present, manage overwhelm, and cultivate greater self-awareness.
Integrative trauma-Informed therapy: Psychodynamic, Body Process, Gestalt, CBT, Poly Vagal Theory, IFS (Internal Family Systems), Inner child work.
My approach offers a safe and compassionate way to explore past trauma, emotional pain, and limiting beliefs at your own pace.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, or simply seeking greater self-awareness, I provide a holistic approach that understands the importance and interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.
Why Choose Somatic-Based Therapy?
By integrating body-based practices, somatic therapy supports deeper emotional healing that can be harder to access through talk therapy alone. It helps you release trauma, emotional blocks, and stored tensions that may be impacting your well-being.

Practice description
My approach to supervision
I am familiar with a variety of theories and competencies needed to be a safe and effective supervisor including working with: 'authority' in the supervisory relationship, transference and countertransference in the therapeutic relationship, working with the clients/supervisee needs, while taking a cross-modal approach to working with supervisees from various theoretical approaches.
As your supervisor, I will ensure that you feel able;
To work safely, legally, and ethically as a supervisor
To work with implicit aspects of the client and therapeutic relationship.
To develop your self-awareness and intuition as a counsellor.
To apply theory, research, and theoretical skills to the therapeutic relationship.
To work self-reflectively as a counsellor.
To work safely, legally, and ethically as a counsellor.
To develop your self-awareness and intuition as a counsellor.
And, to feel safe and empowered in your practice.
A collaborative approach
I believe supervision is a collaborative process, and as the supervisor I will facilitate and guide you to learn and develop confidence as an independent practitioner.
The supervision relationship is a unique one and I believe it has to feel right in order for you to be yourself and feel confident to bring what you want to the session and ask for what you need in each session without fear of being judged or shamed.
I always offer non-judgmental and humanistic supervision, I like to offer constructive feedback and encouragement to ensure your self-development both as an individual and as a counsellor.
Session details
I am currently offering supervision online via Zoom and would be happy to provide either one-hour monthly supervision or the BACP 1.5 hour requirement for monthly supervision.
My fee is £60 for a 60-minute session or £85 for the BACP recommended 1.5-hour monthly supervision.
My first session
During our first session, we will spend time establishing our contract and discussing your needs and goals as an independent counsellor in supervision.
We will also ensure that we're a good fit to work together and together decide on a suitable way forward for your supervision journey.
