About me and my therapy practice

Hey, I'm Victoria. I am an integrative creative therapist based in Hackney, London.

Having an integrative approach means that together we can draw from a wide selection of psychotherapy theories and therapeutic practices. Essentially it puts you at the centre and we tailor the work to find the best approach for you.

We will explore creative practices alongside talk based therapy to help you make sense of what is going on in your life. Working in this way can help you to express difficult experiences and feelings, whether you are looking for support with anxiety, feeling lost or managing feelings of sadness. The work is trauma informed and process based, meaning we use the arts to explore your inner world. Working together in a non-judgemental and safe way to help you find a sense of belonging in yourself and the world around you.

It is not an art lesson, and no previous art experience is required. You don't have to use any of the arts. Sometimes just having a space to talk is enough.  Sometimes an image might capture what you want to share. Sometimes you might want to shout, dance or move.

All is welcome. The time is yours.

Practice description

I care deeply about increasing access to supportive spaces that empower individuals to rebuild their lives. Focusing on community based learning, collective care and support through shared experience.

My dedication to continuous professional development encourages me to regularly reflect on my practice as a therapist (and as an individual) considering feminist, anti-discriminatory and intersectional approaches. This includes delving into the social and political contexts that shape my work and the remarkable individuals that I support. I believe that amplifying the voices of historically and systematically excluded communities within the mental health system is vital.

Alongside working 1-1 with individuals, I work with charities providing advocacy and emotional support to individuals who find themselves in challenging and complex circumstances. I have experience supporting people with issues related to bereavement, grief, anxiety, depression, experiences of pregnancy loss, birth trauma, domestic and sexual violence, reproductive health and justice. I have worked with clients exploring different part of their identities (sexuality, gender, race, age, ability, body size) and how these have led to experiences of oppression and discrimination.
