About me and my therapy practice
Life can throw some really difficult situations at us and when this happens, it can be difficult to stay positive and cope with everyday life, , it can leave us feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious and even depressed. I believe that counselling should provide you with an opportunity to explore any personal difficulties in a confidential, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. I work with, and have several years of experience working with with Young People aged 11 years and over. I am a LGBTQ+ ally and I have experience of working with young people with issues around identity and supporting them through the transition of parental separations, bereavement and traumatic events or complex traumas arising from life events. I appreciate how hard it can be to seek support when you are either in or trying to move on from a difficult or complex relationship. I have training and experience working with people to offer support during this transition. I worked with a diverse range of issues including, life changes and loss, work or exam stresses, pressure of transition, sexual/physical health issues, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, substance dependency, anger management and family or relationship problems.
Practice description
I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist (meaning I work by incorporating several therapeutic theories) with a relational approach. My aim is to provide a counselling space that is a supportive environment, in which you will be given the time and space to explore and gain insight into your unique situation. I offer you my honesty and respect while we explore anything you feel you would like to bring to counselling. I have a background working with young people, along-side my private practice. I work for a local charity working with young people aged 13-25. My experience working within Youth Concern has enabled me to develop my understanding and skills in risk management relating to depression, anxiety, and suicide ideation. Within my work at Youth Concern, I work with several different organisations and individuals, including School Liaison Offices, CAMHS and Social Services.
My first session
I offer a free initial informal chat normally over the phone, which will give us an opportunity to discuss your needs and whether you think that working together is going to be right for you.
Following our initial chat, if we agree to work together, I will offer you a 50-minute counselling session, usually on a weekly basis; although I can be flexible on the frequency of sessions when required.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Integrative Supervisor working with three therapeutical approaches within a supervision framework and with a focus on the seven tasks of supervision. I completed an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Supervision with The Langley Training Centre.
I offer concessional rates to counselling students.
I will offer you a warm, safe and non- judgmental space to bring your client work or any professional aspects of practice that you wish to explore, my aim is that we will work collaboratively and in a supportive environment. I work with a framework incorporating the Functional, Seven Eyed and Cyclical models of supervision theory.
Practice description
I work in a relational way and strongly believe that the relationship that develops during supervision is vitally important to ensuring the exploration of your clients, your relationships with clients and the triggers you may experience.
This relational connection helps and encourages us to identify areas that may need to be explored.
Please message for more information about my practice.
My first session
The first session gives us an opportunity to explore how we might work together and that we can negotiate a working agreement to incorporate all your supervision needs. I may ask you questions about your background and your journey, this will be done with sensitivity and understanding. These question are to help me to be able to support and identify potential triggers and blocks to your work.
